After a really rough conversation with a family member I desperately needed to get out and get my ass kicked on a mountain. I ranked this class 4 because of the snow and ice sheets I had to scale on the back side. These can normally be bypassed by the “trail” but the snow overwhelmed them this trip (early winter).

The route finding was extremely difficult and I am certain I lost the route at times. I am just happy to have my handy ice axe, that now has the scars of a full day of technical ice mountaineering. This was my favorite climb in many months, and absolutely makes up for the previous 2 failed summits in the archive.

Fantastic day.
